Growing up around Philly, I have great memories of visiting the zoo, but in my 20’s I never get the urge to return. This quick Zoo poster campaign aims to target teens and young adults and refresh their idea of the zoo.

I took a hand-drawn illustrative approach to create something that captures attention differently than photo imagery. Rough gestural brush strokes are dynamic and exciting.

I wanted bold and unique letters, so I cut some out myself. I paired this paper-cut type with some basic san-serif supporting type.

And is it even a Philadelphia poster if it’s not at the Septa stop?
